My Story
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of 11. When I was first diagnosed, it was life-changing. I went from eating anything I wanted to combing through every ingredient on every nutrition label, and bringing my own food from home to events with family and friends.
Back then, gluten-free options were much more limited. We had to shop at special health food stores just to find common household items like bread and pasta. The world is much more friendly to those with dietary restrictions now, and it gets better year after year - but going out to eat can still be a challenge.
That's why I created Restaurant Buddy. I wanted to build something that makes dining out easier for people like me - an app that understands what it's like to navigate menus with restrictions and helps you find safe, delicious places to eat with confidence.
